Joe LedleyJoe Ledley will miss out on Crystal Palace’s FA Cup Final against Manchester United and faces a race against time to be fit for Wales’ Euro 2016 campaign.

The midfielder was injured in the May 11 clash against Stoke City with a scan revealing that he had a fractured fibula.

Bakery Sako is expected to come into the side to replace Ledley who has made 30 appearances this season for Palace.

“Sako trained today, which gives us a full complement other than Joe Ledley,” Palace manager Alan Pardew said. It’s going to be a terrible shame to miss him, but everyone else is fit and well, and had a good week.

“Joe is fingers crossed for the Euros for Wales. He’s just on recovery at that one; scans etc, to see how quickly it heels.

“The Wales physio works for us so, when the Welsh team meet up, he goes across with Joe. It’s perfect for everyone and for Joe and for us. It gives him more of a fighting chance because he knows exactly what he’s done and where he is.”

Ledley joined Palace in January 2014 after three and a half seasons at Celtic where he was a vital part of Neil Lennon’s successes.

Celtic only had to pay a token development fee to Cardiff City for the midfielder who went on to star alongside Beram Kayal and Victor Wanyama as Lennon brought the title back to Celtic where he also won the Scottish Cup in 2013.

Wales open up their Euro 16 campaign on June 11 against  Slovakia.
