Dave King G & SMark Warburton has refused to sign a new deal that would DOUBLE his Sevco wages!

The former city trader has slipped off the radar following Saturday’s Scottish Cup defeat from Hibs, refusing to speak to any media outlet including his own in-house media team.

Assistant manager Davie Weir welcomed ‘new signing’ Joey Barton to the club as speculation started that all wasn’t sweetness and light behind the scenes at Ibrox.

Warbo has delivered on his side of the contract by securing promotion and following PR instructions to the letter including the bizarre notion that he prefers to work with a tight squad which resulted in only five substitutes being named for the Scottish Cup Final against Hibs.

According to Paul Murray’s favourite newspaper Warbo has been offered a double your money deal by King taking his salary to £600,000/year- less than half the wage offered to Barton.

Despite that offer Warbo has refused to sign and is reported to have flown to America on holiday with his family who are still based in London.

It’s believed that the current deal of the rising young star of football management is heavily incentivised with some claims that a £500,000 bonus was on offer for earning promotion to the top flight.

That would take Warbo’s salary onto a par with former boss Ally McCoist who continued to draw his salary after the appointment of Warbs and Davie Weir in June 2015.

Doubts over the future of Warburton, the lack of blue chip signings and Dave King’s refusal to invest in the club are bound to impact on season ticket sales.

Despite announcing the signing of Barton the 33-year-old former convict remains contracted to Burnley until the end of June.

With media contracts with TalkSport and TV3 in Ireland Barton wont be joining the Ibrox club for pre-season training or the opening matches in the BetFred (League) Cup which starts on July 15.

Warbo’s new offer is believed to be worth a quarter of Brendan Rodgers contract at Celtic.
