Kieran TierneyKieran Tierney featured in a Japanese TV documentary about Shunsuke Nakamura as a 12-year-old kid!

The video clip surfaced on You Tube this morning and provides a great insight into the player recently voted as Scotland’s Player of the Year.

Starting off at Lennoxtown the clip shows Tierney training with his Celtic team-mates and includes a short interview with the bhoy from Wishaw.

More interestingly it then shows Tierney training outside his home as he practices the skills that made Nakamura a legend at Celtic and adored throughout Japan

Tierney then takes the camera crew into his home and into his room where a pair of Nakamuru boots are on display in a glass box.

I was just staring at them all night,” he explained to the camera crew before going downstairs to be filmed with his parents watching tapes of Nakamura on telly.

After Celtic’s title clincher at Tynecastle Tierney said: “It was a dream come true and the other reason I stayed on? the park so long was that I was searching for my family. I knew they were in there but I couldn’t catch their eye because I?didn’t know what seats they?were in.

I didn’t want to go back to the dressing room without seeing them but I had to. I couldn’t spot them. They were up the back, that’s why I missed them.

Efe Ambrose did a?somersault, Erik Sviatchenko did a dance but I couldn’t have managed anything without getting a cramp, so I just decided to leave them to it.

Someone had to cool things down after Efe did his backflip – and that’s what Callum McGregor’s forward roll was all about but it was such an amazing occasion for me and I was really passionate about it, that’s why I was celebrating so much with the fans.”
