Mark Warburton’s strained relationship with Sevco continued today with no comment from the former city trader about the signing of Lee Hodson.
Three different articles appeared on the club website but Warbo’s delight at the deal for the former MK Dons defender was notable by it’s absence.
Warbo has kept a low key presence at the procession of journeymen that have signed up with Dave King’s company still to pay a transfer fee for any recruit.
In among a number of articles on the club website there is no comment from the former Brentford boss about signings or to encourage supporters to buy season tickets.
The latest offering from Warbo highlights the purpose of the glamour friendly with Charleston Battery with the Ibrox boss saying: “It’s only a small ground, with five or six thousand people but it is a sell out fixture and what we have to do is prepare well.
“We can’t lose sight that it is part of our training programme and it’ll be our first game. It’s about bonding and getting our fitness levels right and developing the ideas that we are devised on the training park.
“It’s a good game for us, we’ll come back and have the game on the 16th then we will go into our programme that will take us through until the 30th when we play Burnley at Ibrox which will be a good test for us against a very high quality team. We’ll then have a week of training before going into the first league fixture.”
Hodson made 14 appearances on loan at Kilmarnock last season.
