Colin Kazim RichardsColin Kazim Richards has undergone a medical ahead of his transfer to Brazilian side Coritiba.

The striker joined Celtic during the January transfer window but after scoring twice he looks likely to be one of the first casualties of the Brendan Rodgers regime.

Alongside a picture off him undergoing a medical the Coritiba website explains: “Turkish striker undergoes tests and start the club protocols to make progress for the possible hiring.

The Turkish striker Kazim, 29 already in Curitiba and started all protocols involving the hiring of an athlete to play for the team.

During this (Monday) the player underwent physical and clinical examinations in Curitiba and in the coming days, must pass through in order to follow the bureaucratic situations involving the possible arrival of the athlete.

“Kazim was at Celtic in Scotland and has played for clubs in England, Greece, France and Turkey. The player even defended the Turkish national team on several occasions.

Because it is international transfer, the possible hiring of the athlete with the thigh can only be made after 20 and June, a date that starts the transfer window.”

The high point in Richard’s 13 game Celtic career was scoring at Tynecastle with a shot that looked likely to clinch the title.

Despite that goal the former Feyenoord striker failed to make the bench for the next match, at home to Aberdeen, amid reports that he reacted angrily to dropping out of the starting XI.

Richards is likely to be followed out the door by Carlton Cole, Stefan Scepovic and Nadir Ciftci as Rodgers creates his own attacking options around Leigh Griffiths
