Even Rod Stewart is feeling the benefits of the Brendan bus posting a family snap on twitter of his bhoys all turned out in hoops.

The singer has never hidden his love for Celtic and opened the North Stand in 1995 alongside Tommy Burns and Fergus McCann.

Stewart started watching Celtic during the nine-in-a-row era when he was pally with Kenny Dalglish and Jimmy Johnstone.

Despite some rough times for the team on the park the singer has been a regular at matches for decades and famously burst into tears after watching Neil Lennon’s side beat Barcelona in 2012.

Celtic shirts are always welcome at his concerts with the London born singer taking a keen supporters interest in the team rather than basking in the glory of once a year visits.

Last season he waded into the debate about Ronny Deila telling listeners to TalkSport: “If I was to say anything about the manager, I just think that maybe the club’s a bit too big for him at this point in his career. I don’t want to run him down and mock him but that’s the way I look at it.”

Asked whether Davie Moyes should take over he added: “I can’t say that, I’m very close to the board there and the executive chairman. Something is wrong, but I wouldn’t mind David Moyes at all!”

In 2015 Stewart presented Scott Brown with the League Cup after Celtic defeated Dundee United 2-0 in the Hampden final following goals from Kris Commons and James Forrest.
