In a surprising move Kilmarnock have tweeted about the new club status of Sevco ahead of tonight’s SPFL clash at Rugby Park.
During the summer of 2012 the board of the Ayrshire side attracted the contempt of supporters throughout Scotland when they abstained in a vote to parachute Charles Green’s Sevco club into the SPL.
Every other club voted against the motion- slamming the door shut on Mr Green’s cunning plan.
Since the new club were admitted into the SFL, ahead of Spartans, there has been a growing campaign, with the approval of the football authorities and silence of the clubs to give the new club the history of the shamed club which was put into liquidation by Her Majesty.
Before tonight’s match Kilmarnock tweeted:

The fall out from the tweet will be interesting with Livingston and Falkirk forced into embarrassing climb-downs for stating the truth of the events of 2012.
In two weeks time the Sevco club will make their first ever visit to Celtic Park with over 50,000 home fans certain to let the visitors know their status.
The status that saw the new club miss out on European football in 2012, that started in the first rounds of the League Cup and Scottish Cup as well as playing in the SFL Challenge Cup.
