Despite starting the match on the bench and seeing Scott Sinclair take on penalty duty Moussa Dembele is loving life at Celtic.

The 20-year-old stated Champions League football as the reason for joining Celtic and couldn’t be happier with the bhoys mouth watering schedule in Group C.

After a hectic start to life in Glasgow he can enjoy a well earned breather with a tweet last night summing up the sentiments of every Celtic fan.

Dembele came on for Leigh Griffiths just before the hour mark in the 4-1 win over Aberdeen just as the visitors were getting lively.

The match was in the balance until the losing minutes. When Sinclair went crashing in the box it was the former Villa forward that planted the ball into the net from 12 yards out.

We are very lucky that we have really good penalty takers,” Brendan Rodgers explained. “We’ve got Scott, Leigh and Moussa – Moussa probably wanted to take it, but Scotty took it and we scored, so that’s all that matters.

Scotty was my penalty taker at Swansea so he knows the score and I trust that he will score a goal but I also trust Moussa – the most important thing is, it went in the back of the net.

Moussa’s a great kid and he’s hungry to do well. He hasn’t played maybe as much as he’d want to but he’s shown a wonderful attitude and he knows that it’s a long season and his opportunities will come, and you see the impact he made when he came on, he freshened it up along with young Patrick, and he did very, very well.”
