Three weeks after joining Celtic Scott Sinclair is delighted to have reached the Champions League.

Rather than face a 46 game marathon that includes Burton Albion, Rotherham United and Wigan Athletic the former Aston Villa man can look forward to today’s draw and matching up with the biggest names in the game.

Making the group phase has been a major achievement for Celtic but Brendan Rodgers has set his sights on making further progress.

The Celtic manager admitted: “I think we now have to refocus our goals. We want to come out of the group. We are not in it just to participate.

In order to get out of the group you have to get in it. So our first job, which was a massive job, was to qualify.

It’s an amazing experience to have gone through it but now we are actually in it, it’s most probably going to be a difficult draw.

We are in with Europe’s elite now, but we will be in it to try and qualify.”
