Furious Mark Warburton blasted referee John Beaton after watching Sevco lose 2-1 to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
A last minute free kick from James Maddison gave the home side full points but left the former city trader furious.
“We are bitterly disappointed with that decision, the fourth official has even said it wasn’t a foul,” Warbo claimed after the match. “It’s an expensive decision. That’s a big decision. You have to be 100 per cent sure to give that.
“If we came in at 1-1 we’d be disappointed. We dominated from start to finish.
“That at the end though, I should be careful about what I say.”
The defeat leaves Sevo in seventh place in the SPFL table, seven points behind Celtic having played a game more and just four points clear of bottom placed duo Partick Thistle and Hamilton Accies.
Should Celtic win at home to Partick Thistle in their game in hand they will be 10 points clear of Warburton’s side but just a fortnight ago the former city trader claimed that there was little between the two clubs despite a 5-1 hammering in the derby fixture.
After that defeat he said: “My job is to say ‘who would I take from their squad and swap?’And I don’t see a major gulf.
“We just got beat 5-1 so I’m not going to sit here like an idiot. They have the bragging rights and deserved to win. But there’s no major gulf. We just have to work harder. When you have adversity, work harder.”
Warburton has asked to be judged in May, VideoCelts will be delighted if the former city trader is given until the end of the season in charge of the tribute act.
