Brendan Rodgers won’t lose sight of the fact that three vital league points are at stake tomorrow against Sevco.

The tribute act have been full of hot air since gaining promotion but a defeat tomorrow would leave them with eight points from five matches and trailing Celtic by four having played a game more.
While Celtic have bigger games to come in the Champions League keeping on top of all matters at home is essential to maintain the progress that started the day 13,000 fans welcomed Rodgers to Celtic Park.
“If you look at our first four games if you include this one, they were all going to be against rivals for us for the league,” the Irishman explained.
“So yes, that makes it important. Always, if you can get a win against one of your rivals early on it puts a good marker down.
“I think because of how Celtic were only a few months back in the semi final, for me it is a good measure to see where the team is at.
“I have said it openly, Rangers were the better team in the semi final but this is a different team and certainly a different mentality. You will have seen in terms of performances that it has been different, so this is a good measure of where we are at.
“It was a disappointment they lost the semi-final, of course. They went onto win the title which was great and Ronny did a really good here, but we came in and had to quickly mould a team that was ready for the Champions League.”
