Wacky Mark Warburton believes that Andy Halliday and Jason Holt should be in the Scotland international team!
Barrie McKay and Lee Waldo Wallace have been included in Gordon Strachan’s mammoth 28 man squad for next week’s international snooze fest with some cynics suggesting that the squad was extended to 28 to include an Ibrox presence.
Strachan can call upon £15m man Oliver Burke, Darren Fletcher, James Morrison , James McArthur and Robert Snodgrass but Warbo who used to work as a city trader believes that Strach has missed a trick by leaving out his pair of Championship winning enforcers.
“Hopefully they (Waldo and Bazza) can go and help the team out and do well, and hopefully we can push forward the likes of Jason Holt, Andy Halliday and these individuals who I think are doing really well,” Warbo said.
“We are told there is no young talent in Scotland, but looking at the guys we have here – the likes of Jason Holt and the energy and quality he possesses and Andy Halliday with his dynamism and flexibility of position – I hope in future weeks we are talking about three or four players in the Scotland squad.”
Halliday and Holt have a career total of 14 top flight league wins between them.
Meanwhile stand in England boss Gareth Southgate isn’t expected to watch Martyn Waghorn and Wesley Foderingham in tomorrow#s relegation six pointer against Partick Thistle.
