Moussa Dembele has tweeted his joy at scoring his first SPFL goal away from Celtic Park.

In stoppage time at the Victoria Ground Dingwall the former Fulham man slipped the ball into the net for Celtic’s fourth goal.

Whether the Manchester United scout stayed around to witness the goal is unclear but there can be little doubt that Dembele has no regrets about his move north of the border.

Before the match he was happy to pose for pictures with Ross County supporters before being given a great ovation by the travelling support as he warmed up alongside Scott Sinclair.

Leigh Griffiths was given the striking slot vacated by the young French striker and endured a frustrating night not helped by a ridiculous first half booking for contesting a 50-50 ball with home keeper Scott Fox.

Referee Muir then balanced things up early in the second half when Griffiths appeared to swing a boot at Andre Davies as the pair contested for a ball at the bye-line.

Brendan Rodgers wasn’t prepared to take any chances at that stage with Griffiths replaced by Nir Bitton after a ten minute run out alongside substitute Dembele.

It wasn’t until the 82nd minute that Celtic secured the points through a Stuart Armstrong goal with the icing on the cake arriving in stoppage time when Sinclair and Dembele completed the scoring.

Last night’s goal took Dembele’s tally for the season to 15 with over 25% of them coming against Sevco.
