Moussa Dembele won’t be distracted by treble talk.

The young striker soaked up every moment of his Hampden winner against Sevco but knows that no trophies have been handed out.

Trips to Ross County and Aberdeen in the next week will test Dembele’s geography as well as Celtic’s title credentials.

Dembele’s early form has been critical to Celtic’s success with more and more folk asking how Brendan Rodgers managed to spend £500,000 so wisely.

“This team is capable of a lot of things,” the former Fulham striker said. “When we are out there together we give 100 per cent but I won’t say we are capable of doing the treble.

We just need to see how our games are going. If we keep winning games we’ll see what happens.

“When we are at 100 per cent it is hard for teams to beat us and that is the reality of the game.

“Days like today are part of the reason why I came here. Celtic is a team who want trophies and I came here to be successful. Hopefully we can make a start on that in the final.”

Until Leigh Griffiths sent in a perfect pass with the outside of his boot it had been an afternoon of frustration for Dembele and Celtic.

The 20-year-old was forced into trying some speculative shots at goal with little paying off as Celtic pushed for the breakthrough.

That all changed in the 87th minute with Dembele well aware of the significance of his Hampden strike.

“It was one of the most important goals I’ve ever scored,” he added. “We won the game and that is the most important thing.

“We’re through to the final and now we need to make sure we win the trophy. I wasn’t worried about extra time. I was still confident I would have at least one chance before the end of the game. When it came, I took it well so I’m happy.”
