Celtic’s u-17 side hammered Partick Thistle 11-0 today at Lennoxtown.

After back-to-back defeats to Forth Valley and Aberdeen it was the perfect result with the young hoops showing no mercy to their city rivals.

Stephen Welsh, Robbie Deas and Daniel Church enjoyed three clean sheets on international duty with Scotland against Wales, Malta and Portugal and continued that pattern against the Jags.

Celtic were 5-0 up at half-time with McCafferty opening the scoring followed by strikes from Deas, a penalty from Ewan Henderson and a double from Kieran McGrath.

There was no let up after the break with Duffy and McKay putting the hoops seven up. Savoury notched the eighth and tenth goals either side of McGrath completing his hat-trick before Kerr McInroy finished the scoring at 11-0.
