John Brown has no fears about Celtic winning ten-in-a-row.

Over the past week Peter McCloy and Willie Henderson have voiced their fears over Celtic reaching that landmark but for Bomber it’s firmly a case of ‘In Warbs we trust’.

Last weeks 3-0 win at home to Kilmarnock seems to have revived spirits at Ibrox after being knocked out of the Betfred Cup and scraping a draw at home to St Johnstone.

A combination of results last Saturday lifted Sevco into second place- nine points behind Celtic- to reassure supporters that the club is on the right track.

Before the winter break Sevco have to face Hearts twice, Celtic and Aberdeen which should give them a more accurate position in the pecking order.

Bomber picked up a sackful of honours when the Bank of Scotland fuelled the ego of David Murray and has no concern that Celtic are on route to nine-in-a-row or the elusive tenth which was snatched from Ibrox by Wim Jansen’s side in 98.

Asked about ten-in-a-row by the Evening Times Brown replied: “I don’t worry about. Can you hold your breath for four years?

It’s a long time and a lot of things can change and you can get a rub of the green. I think Rangers will be a force again next season and will be a hell of a lot stronger.

I think the manager is getting to grips of what is required for the Premiership and he is learning about this football club.”

Bomber added: “It’s about winning games. It’s fine talking about Plan A but I’m sure Mark is putting it across to the players that it’s about getting the sleeves rolled up to win the games.

You’re in a city with two teams – well actually you’re in a country with two teams. No disrespect to the rest but none of them are going to win the Premiership – it’s either Rangers or Celtic.

Celtic have the financial advantage – especially with the Champions League money – but you have to remember they reinvested in a new manager where the previous one was a short-term thing and the team suffered.

They will continue to look to get young guys in that the can move on in a couple of years for a big profit. [Moussa] Dembele has been a great signing, for example.”

While Brown bleats about Celtic’s Champions League windfall David Murray’s club were in the group stage in 2009, 2010 and 2011 but still managed to go into liquidation in 2012 leaving 276 creditors, including HMRC and many public bodies, without a penny.
