Brendan Rodgers has revealed the three worries that he’ll take to Hampden.

While Celtic aim for their 100th major trophy despite the handicap of paying HMRC in full the Irishman is still looking to get his hands on silverware.

Swansea’s 2011 Premiership play-off win against Reading was the most significant match in the history of the Welsh side but doesn’t come under the title of a major trophy.

Celtic’s recent Hampden history hardly inspires confidence ahead of Sunday’s match with Rodgers putting personal glory on to the back burner as he prepares his side to meet Aberdeen.

“I worry for the club, the team, the players, I want them to be successful,” the Celtic boss said. “And make no mistake, of course I want to win but I don’t lie in bed worrying about it, worrying what I have on my CV.

“There are some coaches I look at and respect all around the world, guys like (Marcelo) Bielsa who I have followed intently all my life.

“A brilliant coach, an innovator of players and teams and maybe he hasn’t won a whole bagful of trophies over the course of his career but he has had brilliant teams set up that I have always admired and that doesn’t make him any worse or less a coach than anyone else.

“As I said, you can be very fortunate as a coach to walk into a team or club that gives you a great opportunity to win trophies but not all coaches are fortunate so for me I don’t think it is unique, it is just how I see it but make no mistake, I want to win and my ambition is always for Celtic.”

Celtic have already beaten Aberdeen twice this season but the impact of 90 minutes against Barcelona in midweek plus the loss of Scott Sinclair will have a big effect on the match.

One bonus for the Celtic boss is the availability of Leigh Griffiths who has shaken off the effect of the hamstring strain that forced him to miss the matches against Kilmarnock and Barcelona.
