Celtic Ambassador Jay Beattie enjoyed Celtic’s 2-1 win over Sevco at Ibrox to the full.

Goals from Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair gave the hoops full points as they stretched their lead at the top of the table to 19 points.

It was a day of joy for the hoops supporters as they watched their side again emphasise the huge gap that exists between the champions elect and the delusions of the tribute act.

Sevco had taken the lead after 12 minutes through Kenny Miller but the despair among the visiting support ended when Dembele levelled in the 33rd minute with a strike that silenced the home support.

Celtic should have been home and dry long before Sinclair netted from an Armstrong pass in the 70th minute but that mattered little to the fans that celebrated behind Wes Fotheringham’s goal.

At the final whistle the Celtic players ran to celebrate with the hoops fans with Jay ending up on the park celebrating the joy of a 19 point lead over the tribute act.

As Celtic look forward to winning the title Mark Warburton’s side face an uncertain future in the sound knowledge that four years after formation they look highly unlikely of stopping 6/7/8/9 and 10 in-a-row.
