Kris Boyd wakens up to the dark reality

After weeks of telling everyone that there was next to no gap between Celtic and Sevco Kris Boyd believes that the tribute act needs £30m to compete with Celtic!

It’s a 180 degrees turn to rival that of Mark Warburton who believed that there was no gap on September 10 but felt that the difference between the clubs on December 30 was staggering.

Boyd has been astonishing fans with his views in recent weeks but his latest offering in The Sun is the most bizarre yet and certain to raise a smile with Chris Sutton.

The former Sevco striker still drains a wage from Kilmarnock but it seems that every waking moment is spent worrying about how the tribute act can live will Celtic and stop 6/7/8/9/10-in-row.

In his latest opinion piece he reveals: “If you ask me, it will take a spending spree of around £30million to catch Celtic.

Right now, Mark Warburton doesn’t have the players capable of taking my old club back to the top.

Second has never been good enough at Ibrox — but it’s as good as it will ever get unless serious money is spent on that team.

I’m not just talking about a few million either. Unless Rangers find the guts of £30m, Celtic will simply disappear over the horizon.

If the Ibrox board don’t have that kind of money or can’t find it from elsewhere, then they can forget about ever toppling their rivals.

It simply won’t happen. The Parkhead side will dominate for YEARS.”

Maybe if Boydy had did a quick google search on Dave King, Paul Murray and John Gilligan he’d have realised that between them they barely have a pot never mind a war-chest.

Their day of reckoning is coming soon as slowly the gullible support start to see through the We Are The People promises and complete lack of credibility of the current Ibrox board.

For 30 years the ‘success’ of the old club was a deception on every club in the country- backed by Gavin Masterton and illegal ‘tax free’ contracts paid through EBT’s. Boyd got a £500,000 EBT.

£30m wouldn’t start to address the problems at Ibrox but as long as Gilligan and co are sitting in the blue room they can look on at Celtic’s success despite paying HMRC in full and on time.
