Celtic’s 3-0 win at Hamilton wasn’t without controversy with the distant, robotic self serving Willie Collum again the centre of criticism.

Typically there was no consistency from the SFA’s number one referee who seems to just make it up as he goes along.

Callum McGregor’s second yellow card summed things up with even Brendan Rodgers losing his normal discretion when it comes to referees and decisions.

McGregor was coming in side on to a 50-50 challenge on the touchline and pulled out but that was good enough for Collum to see his chance to be in the headlines.

On twitter one picture continually appeared after the match showing an image that seemed to escape the vision of the eagle eyed referee.

It wasn’t marginal or discrete, Brown’s shirt was almost pulled off his back, there was clear daylight between the players, the ball was near by. The sort of incident that Scotland’s leading referee really should be noting and pointing to the penalty spot.

Despite Collum’s erratic decision making Celtic went on to win 3-0 but will have to do without Callum McGregor for Wednesday’s match against Ross County.
