Mark McGhee’s humilation has been completed after it was revealed that he mentioned Chris Davies in his programme notes!
After losing 4-3 to Celtic on Saturday the Fir Park boss refused to shake hands with Davies and afterwards claimed that he didn’t know who the Celtic assistant boss was.
Today as Celtic travelled to Manchester for their Champions League tie tomorrow at the Etihad Davies was asked about the incident at Motherwell.
The Celtic assistant said: “I’m surprised that he didn’t know me because in the programme he extended a warm welcome to me.”

It seems that losing to Celtic seems to bring out the worst in McGhee who refused to shake Ronny Deila’s hand after a defeat in April.
After initially denying that incident McGhee later admitted that he had deliberately snubbed the Celtic manager at full-time.
Before the match the Motherwell boss broke off from his side’s warm up to protest about something to the Celtic back-room staff.
After the game McGhee was pictured with his hands raised and being restrained by fourth official Alan Muir.
It remains to be seen whether the SFA will charge their assistant international manager about his behaviour after the match.
