Loan bhoys Luke Donnelly and Aidan Nesbitt were on the scoresheet last night as Celtic beat Valencia 3-0 in the Premier League International Cup.

The young hoops have completed their campaign with six points and must now wait on the outcome of the Aston Villa v Norwich match to see if they will progress to the next stage.

A win or draw for Norwich would be enough to take Celtic through but a Villa win would take them onto six points with the group decided on goal difference even though Celtic won at Villa Park.

It took Nesbitt, currently on loan at Morton, under a minute to open the scoring as Celtic pressed from the first whistle.

Donnelly, out on loan at Alloa, chipped Celtic further in front shortly before the break with Kristoffer Ajer completing the scoring in the 56th minute.

On Saturday Celtic host Dundee United in the fourth round of the SFA Youth Cup before travelling south again to meet Manchester City in the final match of the UEFA Youth League.

CELTIC: Doohan; Ralston, Kelleher, McCart, McIlduff; Hill, McManus; Duffy, Ajer, Nesbitt; Donnelly
Subs: McAdams, Wardrop, Aitchison, Miller, Crossan, Hendry, Johnston
