Robert Snodgrass is on his way to Burnley to complete a £10m transfer.

The midfielder has been linked with Celtic over the last two years but the hoops couldn’t compete with that sort of transfer fee or associated personal terms.

West Ham, Newcastle and Middlesbrough have all been linked to Snodgrass but weren’t prepared to meet the £10m asking price.

Snodgrass rejected a new contract offer from Hull before the new year but the club then enforced a 12 month extension onto his current deal which was due to end this summer.

Seven Premier League goals while Hull struggle against relegation made the 29-year-old a wanted man.

When he was left out of the Hull side that lost at Chelsea on Sunday it seemed that Snodgrass was on his way with Burnley confident that they have the player to secure their place in the top flight.

The 29-year-old started his career at Livingston before moving to Leeds United and onto Norwich City, Hull paid Norwich £6m for Snodgrass in 2014.
