Mikael Lustig is unlikely to feature in this year’s Ryder Cup.
Earlier today in Dubai the Swede’s not so classic golf swing was captured by Scott Brown for his Instagram account.
During a break from their training regime in Dubai some of the players headed off for a game of golf.
Looking the part in shades and baseball cap round the wrong way Lustig addressed the ball well with a wood in his hands.
As he came down to make contact with the ball however it all went wrong as the heel of the club sent the ball off at ground level towards a water hazard on the left hand side.
In better news for the Swedish defender Brendan Rodgers seems confident that a new contract is about to be agreed.
Lustig joined Celtic on a free transfer from Rosenborg in January 2012 and has played a major role in the title wins of Neil Lennon and Ronny Deila with a sixth title winners medal expected in the spring.
