Bobby Madden will referee Sunday’s match between Celtic and Hearts.

It’s the third time this season that the Lanarkshire referee has taken charge of a Celtic match with all of his appointments coming at Celtic Park.

In August Madden was the man in the middle for the 4-1 win over Aberdeen and was in charge for the 2-1 win over Dundee before Christmas.

Assisting Madden will be Graham Chambers who caused a storm at the Dundee United v Celtic Scottish Cup tie in March 2015 when he drew Craig Thomson’s attention to an incident that led to Virgil van Dijk and Paul Paton being red carded.

Van Dijk had his ordering off overturned on appeal while Paton’s case was dismissed as mistaken identity after Chambers had came onto the pitch, took Calum Butcher aside then instructed Thomson to send off Paton!

For the replay the SFA brought in a different set of officials.

Saturday’s televised match between Motherwell and Sevco will be refereed by Willie Collum.
