The geek to halt Celtic

It seems that Celtic’s treble bid is consigned to the history books with the arrival of a geeky looking American kid at Glasgow Airport.

While Brendan Rodgers works day and night on the training ground to develop players are scouTs Krasnodor to capture up and coming talents the hoops boss has overlooked a messiah hiding an Easyjet flight away from Glasgow.

A flight into Bournemouth International would have provided the answer to all that Rodgers ever needed for his team.

Being rejected by Spanish ace Jota seems to have triggered Mark Warburton into even greater efforts with the former city trader now prepared to sign someone that has never played for Brentford.

Emerson Hyndman is the name, a 20-year-old American who appears to be able to do no wrong despite getting nowhere near the Bournemouth team.

Prior to an hour on the park on Saturday as Bournmeouth crashed out the FA Cup at League One Millwall Hyndman had played a total of TWO minutes first team football spread over two matches. It’s unknown if he got a kick of the ball in Bournemouth’s EFL Cup ties against Morecambe or Preston.

Disregarding those facts Jurgen Klinsmann and Felix Magath believe that Warbo is on the verge of a sensational swoop.

The Sun reports Klinsmann saying: “Emerson is just phenomenal. This kid came to our first game after the World Cup, and in our first training session he played like he was always with us.

At that time he was barely 18. I said to my coach, ‘Are you seeing what I’m seeing?’ Everyone was like ‘woah.’”

Not content with a woah/phenomenal signing Magath believes that it was a young Andrea Pirlo that easy-jetted into Glasgow yesterday.

The former Stuttgart and Bayern Munich boss said: ““I have never seen a player of his age play like he does – he passes like an old professional.

I’m sure he will be a good player. His role could be similar to the one that Andrea Pirlo plays, responsible for the forward play of the team from deep.”

Klinsmann and Magath are both currently out of management.
