Former Celt Beram Kayal is the subject of a £3m bid from Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian.

According to a report in The Sun the midfielder has caught the eye of Tianjin scouts who are keen to take Chelsea’s Diego Costa to the cash rich league.

Kayal has recently returned from a 15 week absence due to an ankle injury, not from Lee McCulloch this time, and is believed to be a key part of Chris Hughton’s promotion plans.

Brighton are currently two points behind Championship leaders Newcastle with a game in hand as they attempt to make up for losing out in last season’s play-off’s.

Kayal joined Brighton three years ago after losing his way at Celtic after a dynamic start to his hoops career.

In November he signed a new contract keeping him at Brighton until June 2019. At 28 years-of-age he should be entering his peek years but the offer of life changing money by moving to China is bound to be tempting.

The Chinese transfer window closes on February 28.
