Georgios Samaras has been linked with a move to Spanish side Real Zaragoza.

According to a report in The Sun the former Celtic striker is in talks with the Spanish side after a move to America fell through when Rayo OKC from Oklahoma hit financial problems.

Samaras left Celtic in 2014 with his career going downhill fast.

He signed off from Celtic with a third SPL winners medal but despite playing for Greece in the World Cup he had to wait until the season started before joining West Brom.

A change of management meant that Samaras quickly left the Hawthorns with a short spell in Saudi Arabia followed by an attempt to move to the USA.

Zaragoza were relegated from La Liga three years ago and are currently 15th in the 22 team Segunda Division.

Samaras joined Celtic on loan from Manchester City in January 2008 with Gordon Strachan making the move permanent that summer with City picking up a £1.5m fee.
