Sevco’s shambles of a season continued tonight with Graeme Murty’s side losing 2-1 at Inverness Caley Thistle.

The highland side hadn’t won in their previous 14 matches but it was well worth the wait when Billy McKay sent an overhead kick looping over Wesley Foderingham shortly after Iain Vigurs had missed a penalty.

With a game more played Sevco trail Aberdeen by six points and by 16 goals in terms of goal difference. If the Dons beat Ross County at home on Saturday then win at Hamilton on Tuesday Murty’s side will host St Johnstone on Wednesday TWELVE POINTS behind Aberdeen.

The home side took the lead on the stroke of half time through Greig Tansey but Martyn Waghorn equalised from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.

Caley Thistle looked set to regain the lead in the 85th minute but Danny Wilson chopped McKay as he prepared to shoot. Amazingly Steven McLean only handed out a yellow card with Vigurs penalty saved.

A win for Celtic tomorrow would put them 33 points ahead of Sevco with 12 matches left to play as the stats of misery pile up for the tribute act.

After 26 matches in the top tier they have won just 12 matches with #goingfor55 about to be consigned to the history books within a week.

There was virtually no reaction to the result and performance from the away fans who seemed overjoyed about singing their hatred about catholics throughout the night.
