Celtic 2-0 Hamilton Accies

|

Moussa Dembele took his Celtic tally for the season to 29 after scoring a double in the 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies to edge Celtic closer to a sixth successive title.

The first half looked like ending goal-less with Accies competing well to frustrate Celtic after James Forrest was injured early on.

Taking the ball 30 yards from goal Dembele spun past one defender, created space for himself then sent a brilliant dipping shot over the keeper and into the net from 20 yards out.

Just past the hour mark Kieran Tierney was sent tumbling in the penalty box with Dembele stepping up to slot away the penalty.

Brendan Rodgers gave the in form striker a further 13 minutes to get his hat-trick before replacing Dembele with Leigh Griffiths.

With Aberdeen beating Ross County 1-0 Celtic need a minimum of 13 points to clinch the title, with a 33 point advantage over Sevco a point away to Inverness on Wednesday will be enough to kill off the #goingfor55 campaign.
