I’m far from a fan of Motherwell but when it comes to serving their supporters and making full use of social media there are none better than the Lanarkshire side.
A couple of weeks back they quickly had highlights on their YouTube account of the Development League match with Celtic as well as the reaction of their coach Stephen Craigan.
From midnight on Saturday anyone could look in on their highlights package from the 2-0 defeat at Celtic which was double the length of the highlights on the SPFL website.
I’m not sure of the contractual issues but Motherwell fans are certainly kept well informed of what is happening at their club regardless of results.
Saturday’s defeat did little for Mark McGhee’s side but it looks likely that it could be their third and last visit of the season to Celtic Park.
Injuries to Stephen McManus and Stevie Hammell didn’t help their cause but pre-match a 2-0 defeat would have been very acceptable to McGhee.
