Lee Wallace still can’t get used to the pain of losing.

With 30 points separating Sevco from Celtic going into Friday’s match at Inverness the Ibrox captain has got used to putting a brave face on as the voice of the dressing room.

#goingfor55 could be officially killed off on Wednesday, if it lives to fight another day that other day will be against Celtic on March 12.

Despite winning just 12 out of 26 matches in the top flight Waldo has demanded that his team-mates keep their chins up to embark on a storming finish to the season.

It is happening too often, it has happened too often this season and it really hard to get your emotions together now and assess how we have been in recent games and how you look at the whole season,” he told the club TV service after the defeat at Inverness.

There is no way I will stand here and make excuses for anything, we have to get our chests out, get our chins up and we have a massive responsibility on Wednesday to put that right.

It is a really shocking period just now and as you can imagine it is hard for me to put the feelings into words, it is not a nice place right now but we need to get ourselves together and take it from Wednesday.”

Aberdeen’s 1-0 win over Ross County on Saturday took them nine points ahead of Sevco with a vastly superior goal difference.
