Al Gharafa have released Pedro Caixinho early from his contract.

The former Santos Laguma coach is now free to take over as head coach of Sevco.

In a stinging comment on their twitter channel the Qatar side said: “Coach’s desire to exploit the opportunity to move the Rangers are was stronger than our desire to continue.

Management: approval is in the interests of the Club financially, especially when the coach’s contract expires after 45 days.”

It seems that Caixinha has been operating in the same way as Mark Warburton was accused of- trying to secure a new role while employed by another club.

Last week Ibrox chief Stewart Robertson claimed that he had interviewed several outstanding candidates for the job of head coach and Director of Football.

With the coach appointed before the Directof Football the new DoF will have to agree to have Caixinha as his main employee.

Despite extensive talks Ross Wilson rejected the chance to move to Ibrox, preferring to stay in a scouting role with Southampton.
