Dave King has finally spoken to Brother Pedro and promised him a transfer war-chest.

According to a report in The Sun there will be money to spend- but no over investment this time- for the man who this time last week was the fifth best coach in Qatar.

Tellingly there was no mention of the outcome of the Takeover Panel investigation that confirmed that Mr King led a concert party when he bought shares at new year 2015 along with Douglas Park, George Taylor and George Letham.

The outcome of that investigation is that the policeman’s son from Castlemilk must deposit £14m with a nominated adviser by March 12. Since King doesn’t have that sort of money and no NOMAD would risk being associated with toxic King major problems lie ahead before Brother Pedro can get his hands on the transfer war-chest.

If King fails to put together the finds and issue a prospectus to buy shares at 20p each he faces a range of sanctions as well as The Rangers International Football Club.

Even Metro Bank will be expected to bin the Ibrox account as company suffers the consequences of two years dealing with what a South African judge described as a glib and shameless liar.

Asked by The Sun if funds will be available he replied: “Of course. This season has been disappointing, but I believe the squad is better than their results, and the new manager will get more out of them.”

Mr King has been to one match this season and is expected in Glasgow next week for crisis talks with Park, Letham and Taylor who will face greater consequences of the Takeover ruling since they have other British based businesses.
