Speaking after the defeat at Haladas McStay said: “I am proud of the players. They did everything to get the win today. We worked hard with lots of devotion and at times played well. The players battled fantastically.
“We had more chances when we were down to 10 men than Haladas, and I feel that we did everything to try and get the equaliser, and then go on to score the winner.
“Sadly a laughable decision by the referee signalled the games turning point. What Zoltan Pollack did was everything but not acting. The referee was inconsistent and did not punish the other teams players for the same things.
“From the country that I come from, the football association would not hand out a ban to a player for that, and that would show that the referee got it wrong. Perhaps I seem angry about the referee’s decision, but as a sportman, I would like to congratulate Haladas, as they fought very well.”
Get him back to parkhead as part of the setup with Lennon and co, this guy is a proven top quality coach
Willie McStay will be the next Celtic Manager.Guaranteed with Neil Lennon and Joe McBride as his backroom team. Big Johan I am afraid will have to wait until Lenny gets the job or moves on to get more experience.
For those that are praying for MON to come back!!!! That ain't going to happen, he will stay at Villa for another season and then become the ManU boss season 2011/12.
I agree about MON….but Willie for manager in front of Neil ??….
I'm not saying I don't like the idea ..I think Willie did a fantastic job with our Reserves and with Ujpest….until it went all wrong behind the scenes…but that's a big jump and our next PERMANENT manager needs to be experienced at this level…good thought 'though.

Rightly or wrongly the Celtic job looks to be Neil Lennon's to lose.
He's perfect as caretaker, whether he should be given the job permanently is another debate.
Every signing and management appointment is a risk, is appointing someone other than Lennon less of a risk than giving Lennon the job?
Alongwith Willie McStay no one knows the ins and outs of the club and Scottish football better than Lennon.
How this all works out remains to be seen.
Martin O'Neill's next move will be very interesting, he's moved upwards throughout his career with Villa seen by most as a better job than managing Celtic.
I don't think that there's any chance of him getting the Manchester United job, Liverpool may be a possibility but without a decent transfer budget, like he got at Villa and or arrival at Celtic I couldn't see MON going to Liverpool, or any club, and being told to make the best of the players that he inherits.
The Celtic position is the only job that interests me, they may not be the 'sexy' names that some would like but Lennon, McStay or any combination of the two will give us the best chance of winning the SPL next season against a Rangers side that will be seriously weakened further over the summer with no sign of a change in ownership.
If Neil Lennon does the business between now and the end of the season…..that is….gets us back to winning ways…brings back the respect and fear from the opposition that is patently missing..and has a team that excites the fans….he's in with a great shout for the job….and I've no problem with that.But it is a huge job ( bigger than Villa I would argue)and only a certain type of person can cope with it.In fairness he has coped with things he shouldn't have had to..and came through it..I wish him all the luck in the world…'cos with the set-up in this bigoted wee country..he's gonna' need it.
