Celtic face Spurs in Belgian shoot-out

Celtic’s u-19 side face Spurs in the semi-final of the Eurofoot Cup tomorrow with an 11am kick-off.

Stevie Frail’s side completed their section with draws against Eintract Frankfurt and STVV to finish runners-up to Botofogo in Group A despite beating the Brazilian’s 1-0 earlier in the day.

Patrik Twardzik was on target against Botofogo with Curtis Jones putting Celtic in front against Eintract only for the Germans to equalise.

In Group B Spurs came out on top  after beating Cerle Brugge, NAC, Anderlecht and Standard Liege.

Spurs won the tournament in 2008 but with both Celtic and Spurs unbeaten in the tournament it promises to be a great match.

So far in pre-season matches Celtic have beaten Wigan and Liverpool and lost to Everton, another English scalp would be very pleasing ahead of the other Scotland-England clash at the Emirates Stadium later in the day.
