Craig Bellamy chooses Cardiff II

|

Celtic or Cardiff?

According to reports in the South Wales Echo Cardiff City are poised to announce the signing of Craig Bellamy tomorrow.

There are some doubts over the validity of the report with two glaring spelling mistakes about the deal expected to be ‘completeted’ tomorrow in an ‘amzing’ coup for Cardiff.

As a fully paid up member of the Spellchecker CSC I won’t go into too much detail about spelling and grammatical matters but it is unusual to see those type of mistakes appearing on a mainstream website.

The report also suggests that more details will be available in the paper edition of the South Wales Echo tomorrow, if the deal is going ahead it’s incredibly unlikely that the SWE will be able to keep the exclusive details to themselves.

Bellamy has never been slow to voice his affection for Cardiff despite an illustrious career including spells at Newcastle, Liverpool, Celtic and Manchester City.

Neil Lennon confirmed last week that Celtic were in talks with City about a possible deal with the Celtic option attractive to City who would rather not see Bellamy playing for a rival Premiership side.

Speaking after Cardiff’s 2-1 win over Derby yesterday Dave Jones was coy about any move for Bellamy.

The Cardiff boss said: “You can dream about things but miracles take a little bit longer.

“If it happens, it would be fantastic and we would all love him to be here but there are bigger fish for him.”

The report says that Bellamy will be joining Cardiff on a six month loan deal.

What does a six month loan deal do for anyone other than City? If he plays well then City will just sell him elsewhere, even to a team still in the CL. Where does Cardiff come up with the money to pay his weekly?

Fulham makes the most sense but it flies in the face of what Bellamy says he wanted.

Celtic makes the most sense if they can pay the weekly (they say they can) but since when has a footballer done what makes sense?

    If true, PL must resign.
