Saints test for high scoring Celtic youths

|

Celtic’s youth side are back in action today when St Johnstone visit Lennoxtown with the game kicking-off at 1pm.

Last week’s 8-0 hammering off Hamilton Accies got the season off to the perfect start but no-one was getting carried away with the result.

“Everyone was pleased with the result and performance last week but it doesn’t really mean anything at this stage,” admitted u-19s coach Stevie Frail.

“Maybe at the end of the season it will carry some significance but winning 8-0 last week won’t mean much if we don’t win our next match.

“St Johnstone moved up last season and have a good team and set up.

“We got back to work on Sunday and have had a good weeks training and are looking forward to playing St Johnstone.

“We’ve watched the dvd of the Hamilton match and there are a few themes that we’ve picked up from that match and worked on in training.

“It’s good to be back playing competitive matches again and we’re looking forward to this match.”
