No serious injury for Paddy McCourt

|

Fit for Hibs?Initial fears that Paddy McCourt had picked up a serious arm or shoulder injury appear wide of the mark.

After being awarded a starting place for Saturday’s game at Kilmarnock the former Derry City winger was substituted after 22 minutes and left the pitch with his arm tucked inside his Celtic top in a make shift sling.

It looked like it could have been a dislocation but that was dismissed by Neil Lennon after the match.

On channel 67 last night Tony Hamilton and Gregor Kyle discussed the injury and suggested that if he’s not available for the Inverness Caley Thistle match on Wednesday he should be fit to play against Hibs on Saturday.

For further proof I headed to twitter and the Paddy McCourt account. There are quite a few bogus and spoof twitter accounts around for Celtic players but this one seems to be the real thing.

“Should be alright folks, the docs don’t think its dislocated,” McCourt declared at 4.48 yesterday.

Channel 67 also revealed that Scott Brown was involved in some light training at Lennoxtown yesterday and that Inverness Caley Thistle had sold 81 tickets for Wednesday’s match.

While not reaching the heights- or the budget- of Setanta’s Celtic TV, Channel 67 is a great service for Celtic supporters with some interesting small talk between Gregor and guests, a few first team interviews dotted around and video highlights of recent u-19 and reserve team fixtures.
