Steven Craven to speak out

|

Five words for Stewart Regan to dread: “Steven Craven tells all: Only in tomorrow’s Sunday Mail.”

That message in today’s Daily Record will make very uncomfortable reading for the new SFA Chief Executive after yesterday’s panto performance.

Regan was put in front of the media yesterday to explain the secretive workings of the Referee Committee knowing all the while that another version of events was about to be published.

It was an unconvincing performance from the new man at Hampden as he comes to terms with the fact that he is Chief Executive in name only.

Any decision making within the SFA remains within the committee structure with Regan a glorified spokesman.

Many Celtic supporters have the same opinion of newspapers as they have for referees and the SFA.

In this case a newspaper, the Sunday Mail, has got their hands on a blockbuster story that will dominate the football headlines for some time to come.

The secretive workings of the SFA look likely to be exposed with Craven unwilling to be sacrificed to protect Dougie McDonald’s reputation.

Will Regan call for a further enquiry after reading Craven’s version of events or will the penny drop that no matter what brainstorming ideas he has he will always be a hostage to the faceless committee men.

Did Dougie Dougie lie to the Celtic manager?

    Hail hail

I’m as interested as the next supporter in what Craven has to say.

There may be something explosive but I expect him to concentrate on the Dallas regime and how certain refs are virtually untouchable.

I think that a lot of rank and file refs are hacked off with that attitude seeing their own progress hampered by the system.

It does seem that refs from the professions tend to progress, there aren’t many plumbers, joiners or labourers making it to Grade 1 status.

Craven is giving up a lot to have his say, after retirement he could have expected a cosy time as an assessor/trainer/observer on the SFA gravy train.

The grannies door number meetings, will have to stop.Saying sorry, made a mistake, etc…etc…NOT GOOD ENOUGH ANYMORE.Go straight to the top and sack the lot.

I agree with Joe, I cannot see this guy spilling the beans. It will be the usual arse paper headlines.

Sensational, Exclusive, AR2 tells all…..You don’t need to buy it to know that an anti Celtic belief is institutionalised within the SFA,their Referees Commitee etc., and has been that way for the past 112 years!!!!!!

The spin that the SFA is issuing ie, it was the right decision in the end, the correct outcome blah bullshit blah.

Before the PC brigade reply, I guess I am paranoid because I thought that Hooper played the ball before the keeper, that there were another two clear hand balls for penalties, last weeks referee gave a penalty that TV evidence shows clearly that he could not see.
Do I not remember Jim Farry delaying Cadette’s paperwork so as he could not play against TFoD.

Sorry Paranoid is not the correct diagnosis, I guess I am a f####ing basketcase.

  • Eoghan O'Cahan says:

Lieing, cheating, masonic b…….s What a whitewash. McDonald got marked down for giving the penalty in the first place. Not for lieing or trying to blame Craven, in order to save face. What a ball bag !!!!
