Brown devastated by Rangers ban

Celtic skipper Scott Brown is devastated at missing out on Sunday’s clash with Rangers.

Brown was red carded in the final minutes of Celtic’s 1-0 win over Motherwell on Tuesday night and is banned from playing at Ibrox.

After two months on the sidelines following a foot operation the midfielder had targetted Sunday’s clash throughout his rehab.

He told the Talent Nation website: “I’m absolutely devastated about getting sent off in last night’s game against Motherwell.

“It means I now miss the Old Firm game this Sunday which is really frustrating for me as this was the game I set as my target when I got injured.

“I’m obviously going to be there with the team to support them but it’s such an important game for us.

“We are going into it top of the league which is great. Rangers have games in hand still to play but a win for us puts a lot of pressure on them.

“I’m just gutted that I won’t be involved.”
