Fashion Police v Form Book? Pick your Celtic XI

|

Carlos TevezShould Neil Lennon consult the form book or the fashion police before picking his side to face Kilmarnock tonight?

The weather forecast is that the temperature won’t get above -5 meaning a night for the punters to wrap up and brace themselves for the elements.

But what about the players?

Will we see any Celts wearing tights?

Who will be the first player to wear a snood?

Last night’s Manchester City v Everton match on Sky Sports gave a telling insight into the thinking of the modern player.

Davie Moyes’ Everton side wore no extra accessories- some of them even wore short sleeved shirts.

Roberto Mancini’s side were an altogether different proposition and resembled a rag tag bunch of Johny Foreigners reluctant to sample the biting chill of Manchester in winter.

From the ten outfield players that started for City one observer noted six pairs of gloves, four snoods and one of pair of tights.

Result? Manchester City 1-2 Everton.

On a winter’s night Fraser Forster is entitled to wear his tracky bottoms and if the Celtic defence keep Conor Sammon under wraps then the on-loan Geordie keeper should hopefully only have the cold to worry about.

In front of him Emillio Izaguirre should be back to partner Cha Du-Ri with the Thomas Rogne-Daniel Majstorovic central defensive partnership given another outing.

Paddy McCourt’s performance as a substitute against Inverness Caley Thistle is likely to give him a start with James Forrest likely to play his first match in three months.

Ki Sung-Yeung and Joe Ledley will start the game in midfield with Scott Brown making a timely return ahead of the Korean’s international call up for the Asian Cup in Qatar.

Glove wearing Anthony Stokes may have to start the match on the bench with Neil Lennon seeming to favour the partnership of Gary Hooper and Daryl Murphy ahead of the former Hibs striker.

Snoods, gloves, long sleeved shirts or tights aside, pick your team for tonight’s match from the 20 listed below.
