Paul Lambert Norwich City Celtic newsPaul Lambert has picked up the Performance of the Week awarded by the League Managers Association.

Sir Alex Ferguson chairs the panel that decides the award with Howard Wilkinson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry also involved.

Lambert helped steer Norwich to a 2-1 win away to Derby County with both teams going into the match on 30 points with the win edging the Canaries into fourth place in The Championship table.

Lambert will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to be screened on Sky Soccer Saturday on 11th December 2010.

Since taking over at Norwich in August last year Lambert has won 42 out of 72 matches with just 15 defeats.

That sort of performance is being noted by bigger clubs with the former Celtic skipper reportedly in the running for the Newcastle job before Alan Pardew was appointed.

On Saturday Norwich are at home to Portsmouth.
