Biram Kayal earns Mjallby’s praise

|

Biram KayalAssistant manager Johan Mjallby has joined the growing list of Biram Kayal admirers.

The Israeli midfielder has started Celtic’s last four matches and made a massive impression on team-mates, supporters and opponents.

Mjallby was a central midfielder before being converted into a defender at Celtic and is delighted to see Kayal show the form that he hinted at before being ruled out for three months by a hernia operation.

“It was unlucky for Biram that he wasn’t fully fit when he first came here and got injured,” the Swede told the Celtic View.

“Straight away we could see that he is a great player, I think that he will became a good midfielder at the highest level.

“He can win the ball for you; he’s a tough cookie, can tackle and is good on the ball. He just has to get used to the way we play as well as his team-mates- the more that you play with someone the more you know about them and their movements.

“It’s good to have him getting a run in the team just now and I think that he is going to get better and better in every game that he plays. He had a great game at Hibs and did very well.”
