Celtic respond to newspaper slur

|

Celtic View Celtic NewsCeltic have issued a low key response to claims that supporters disrespected the minute’s silence in memory of the Ibrox Disaster.

The editorial from The Celtic View captures the mood of the support perfectly- editing the club magazine coverage of a win over Rangers can’t be the toughest of tasks- but stands up for the fans over claims that organised coughing from Celtic supporters disrupted the silence.

In his editorial comment Paul Cuddihy says: “It should be noted that the minute’s silence in memory of the 66 people who tragically lost their lives in the 1971 Ibrox Disaster was impeccably observed, just as most of us knew it would be, and despite what one newspaper columnist would have you believe in a disappointing attempt to manufacture criticism of the Celtic support.”

Coming to Video Celts over the weekend, a revealing insight to Artur Boruc’s life and times at Celtic.

As I read in one article yesterday, The famine song is ok but coughing is front page news. But of course as a Celtic fan, Im being paranoid.

Very little if anything has been written about the Rangers fans walking up the stairs as the minutes silence was being observed. Total disrespect!!

Oh near forgot about all the cameramen trying to catch a Celtic fan doing something to marr the silence.

Celtic have done the correct thing on not making a hullabaloo over this.

It’s gutter journalism at it’s finest, ignoring it will starve the fool that he is, of the attention he craves.

As we all know and they know, the old media are a busted flush.

It’s funny that on Sunday night on a Hun forum they started the coughing nonsense and Monday morning he published same nonsense.

Some went as far as saying if you listen to the coughing at a faster speed You can make out it is co-ordinated coughing.

And that It’s the BOTOB they coughing, LoL, brilliant stuff, it just shows you the level of there sickness.

One flew over the cukoos nest stuff indeed.

Did that journo if we can call him that, get his article idea of the hate filled site, FF ? Lazy ridiculous journalism.

When you corner rats, they lash out, this is what we seeing just now, their backs are against the wall, they in panic mood.
