Ki Sung-Yeung was on target yesterday as South Korean beat Al Jazira 2-0 in their final warm up match ahead of the Asian Cup.
The Celtic midfielder made up for the disappointment of missing out on Sunday’s 2-0 win over Rangers by netting a 42rd minute penalty.
The South Korean’s had opened the scoring in the 35th minute header from Lee Chung-Yong.
Ki played in a deep midfield role in a 4-2-3-1 formation as manager Cho Kwang-rae completed his preparations for their Asian Cup opener against Bahrain.
The loss of Monaco striker Park Chu-young is a big blow for the Korean’s who have brought in Koo Ja-cheol  from Jef United to take his place.
Ki and Cha Du Ri have been with their international team-mates for over a week now and play their opening match of the Asian Cup against Bahrain on Monday January 10 followed by games against Australia and India in Group C.
The South Korean squad left Abu-Dhabi for Qatar today and will be based in Doha for the 16 team tournament.
Great new fantasy football game- score points for goals, assists and saves, lose points for fouls and bookings.
