Ki’s insider knowledge of Australia

|

Ki Sung Yeung Celtic newsKi Sung Yeung is relishing today’s Asian Cup encounter with Australia as he reacquaints himself with the Aussie way of doing things.

The 21-year-old spent the early years of his youth career in Brisbane and is looking forward to the high-profile encounter which many pundits believe could be repeated in the final of the competition.

Ki said:“I was there for four years and I know how the Australians play and physically they are strong, they have very good players who play in Europe so we have to make sure we are ready and we have to concentrate on the defence as well.”

Ki, though, is confident that his team-mates have the strength in depth to impress during the Asian Cup as his nation’s young team continues to develop.

“We have some very good young players, especially Koo Ja Cheol and also myself and Lee Chung Young are improving more and more,” he added.

“We are developing as we go through the season. I think we will be much better when we get to the end of this competition.”
