Andy Gray in as Mike Parry quits talkSPORT

Radio station talkSPORT have signed up Andy Gray and Richard Keys with veteran presenter Mike Parry quitting in disgust.

Gray was sacked from Sky Sports with Keys resigning after their sexist comments and behavious came to light in the controversy over assistant referee Sian Massey at the recent Wolves-Liverpool fixture.

Keys and Gray will take on the 10am-1pm slot that Parry has had for a number of years.

Former Scotland international Gray said: “I can’t tell you how excited I am about joining the talkSPORT team. It’s an ideal opportunity for Richard and me to do what we do best, and that’s talk about sport.”

Keys added: “This is the start of something new and exciting for Andy and myself. We are delighted to be joining the talkSPORT family and can’t wait to get going.”

TalkSport programme director, Moz Dee, said: “The events of the last couple of weeks have been a lesson and have changed them.

“One thing that hasn’t changed however is that they are two iconic broadcasters who have a wealth of experience in the world of sport and that’s what we have to do now – move forward with them as sports broadcasters.

“I think it’s a sensational coup for TalkSport and great for radio. These men have carved out amazing careers in television and were at the forefront of the Sky revolution. I think they are going to have a massive impact on the radio scene.”
