Dundee United test for Celtic youths

Steve Frail Celtic newsCeltic’s youth team head to the home of golf today to face Dundee United in a vital league fixture today, kick-off 1pm

There will be no red carpet rolled out for the special visitors to St Andrews University but a pitch covered in grass rather than the sandpit they found against St Johnstone in midweek will be very welcome for Stevie Frail’s side.

Celtic’s draw at St Johnstone on Tuesday puts them virtually neck and neck with Rangers in the title race with both teams still into the semi-finals of the SFA Youth Cup.

In the league Celtic are three points behind Rangers from a game less played but have are 13 goals better off than the league leaders on goal difference.

While Celtic face Dundee United Rangers host Motherwell at Murray Park today with the countdown underway to the April 12 clash between the top two.
