Henrik Larsson has resisted the opportunity to resurrect his playing career.
The Celtic hero discussed a playing comeback in December following his first season in management at Landskrona BoIS in the Swedish Second Division.
LBoIS played their first pre-season match on Saturday with Larsson resisting the temptation to get his boots back on again as his side lost 3-2 to Ytterby.
Asked about a comeback for the magnificent seven assistant coach Hans Eklund said: “He has not made any serious attempt to play, it’s not been on his mind. He sees himself as a coach and we have not talked about anything else.
“Right now he’s not thinking of playing but he may start training in earnest again.”
Looking at his side’s first outing Larsson said: “Obviously you go in to win, but this was still only the first training match and we still have a lot of training to do.
“It just feels good to get going and we’ll be able to work on some details from the match in training.”
